| The MAS Annual Meeting was once again held in Hattiesburg, MS, this time in the Thad Conchran Center on the University of Southern Mississippi campus. Sixteen students attended. |

| George Stoner presented research her conducted under Dr. Paul Mack to the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology meeting. |

| Jeremy Winders presented work he did under Dr. Ross Whitwam to the Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology section. |
 |
| Dr. Xiaoxia Li presented some of her own research to the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering division. |
 |
| Dr. Ross Whitwam presented an overview of his research on yeast prions to a special session on infectious diseases. |
