The College offers the following degree programs: Associate of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or in Speech-Language Pathology, and Master's of Science in Nursing or Speech Language Pathology. Programs within the college produce outstanding graduates who have historically achieved high pass rates on national exams, licensure exams and certification exams.

All nursing programs are nationally accredited by either the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (Associate of Science in Nursing) or by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (Bachelor and Master's in Nursing). Students and graduates have received numerous local, state and national awards and recognitions including the National Spirit of Nursing Award, the National Pfizer Advanced Nurse Practitioner Award for exceptional contributions to health care, and the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Educator Award.

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program is nationally accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The graduate program has a distinguished reputation and prepares individuals to work in any setting where speech-language pathologists are employed. Graduate have enjoyed a 100% employment rate as well as high pass rates on the national exams.


NOTIFIC ATION OF ACCREDITATION REVIEW


The Mississippi Educational Consortium for Specialized Advanced Practice Nursing (MECSAPN) will be reviewed by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for accreditation. This will be the initial accreditation review for a Master of Science in Nursing program that began educating students in the fall of 2008. CCNE invites written and signed comments from communities of interest that are affected by the MECSAPN program. Those communities include current students, alumni, potential employers of graduates, members of the university community, local and state nursing professional organizations, and practicing nurses who work with students and graduates. Comments will be shared with the members of the evaluation team, who take them into account in their review of the program; however, at no time during the review process will the comments be shared with the University. Comments will be accepted by CCNE until March 15, 2011, which is 30 days prior to the accreditation visit.
