We offer the information posted here in the hope it will help you to better support your college student. In fact, much of this we’ve shared with our own kids. This is a big transition and the stakes seem awfully high. You may or may not have had experience in this realm. Even if you have been here, you may wonder if you should have done it differently last time through.
We’ve seen thousands of students walk down this same path. And every student approaches it a little differently. We have to be careful not to apply any rules to these unique individuals that are our children, but we do see students facing some pretty common challenges. You as parents know them better than anyone else. We expect that together as partners - the faculty and staff at MUW, you as parents, and students – we can support each other in a ways that allow our students to experience success in ways that enrich their lives.
