Program Objective

The MUW Theatre Program offers extensive coursework in theoretical and practical aspects in the are of making theatre. MUW Theatre students acquire a broad understanding of theatre as a liberal art and a strong sense of self. Students develop the competitive skills with which to pursue professional or graduate work. The MUW Theatre Program is designed for the serious students with the desire to work in a company atmosphere. Productions include classics and contemporary titles of all genres, as a part of the Division of Fine and Performing Arts, the theatre program often collaborates with the music program in both coursework and musical productions. MUW Theatre actively participates in the American College Theatre Festival, Southeastern Theatre Conference, and is a member of the American Theatre of Higher Education.

Bachelor's of Art in Theatre

The Program offers a BA in Fine Arts with a Theatre Emphasis. The program's hallmarks are a rigorous production schedule, individual attention throughout the training process, and first-rate production values.
