On behalf of the Student Government Association (SGA), I'd like to cordially welcome you to Mississippi University for Women (MUW). My name is Menuka Ban, and I will be serving as your 2012-2013 SGA President.College life is full of fun and excitement, but is also quite challenging. Nevertheless, with adequate support from our administration, faculty, staff, and student leaders, your success at MUW is very promising. As an international student from Nepal, I can assure you that MUW has the services to support you and your career ambitions.

“It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult”-Seneca. For our new students, I must say - you have made a wise decision by choosing to come to college and strive for success. All the resources are available to help you through every obstacle in your journey, and I encourage you to take advantage of all that this great institution has to offer you. To our mighty returners- I must ask to keep up with your hard work and diligence, and strive for success and excellence. In addition, you are the substantial part of this institution with a novel responsibility to carry the torch of leadership in order to provide help and support to our beloved new students.

In closing, I would like to remind you that Student Government Association represent MUW student body, and it is here to serve you.
