Tammie made at least two attempts to work with BMH, but no one returned her calls.

 

Thanksgiving baskets - Nov. 2007

 

Goal: To participate with Thanksgiving baskets again. Nov. 08

 

To invite BMH to next program

 

To invite Mary Ellen Sumrall to speak at Induction March 09 -

2.  Increase membership by 25 members.


2A. Continue Heritage projects.



2B.  Continue hard copy and online communications

Work to continue to prepare historical record of chapter accomplishments – we need suggestions for increasing attendance at meetings.

Goal:

Continue chapter newsletters and online site updates, but will offer hardcopy newsletter yearly to save postage.  Put minutes on line

 

 

 

3.  Maintain financial viability of the chapter.

Implemented a new fundraiser; snack sale in Martin Hall.

 

Have continued to sell cookbooks; we have 6 boxes of 18 each at present time.

 

Goal:

Continue snack sale.

Continue Cookbook sale.

4.  Reinstate activities in scholarship and research

Work on providing certificates to both RN/BSN graduating classes in this year and work on Community Leader Award this year.


Scholarships:  $500 for MSN, $1000 for BSN (may be given as one or two scholarships—one for generic and one for advanced placement of $500 each .  Awards committee will receive applications and decide how to distribute funds)


Reinstate Community Nurse Leader Award and Nurse Educator of the Year Award in Spring 2007

 We presented these scholarships during 2008 Induction ceremony.

Continue to provide these scholarships and certificates

Eligibility Committee (Jordan)

            Form for guidelines for Community Nurse Leader on STT website

Induction ceremony – has worked well to send separate letter for induction and dinner fee’s, will continue this in Spr. 09.


The  Zeta Rho Board voted 07-08  to make the induction dinner mandatory for all induction candidates, will continue again for 08-09. 

           

Finance and Fundraising (Stephens)

Report : Maria Stephens put established an Operational Budget and presented it to the board and membership. Will continue snack and cookbook sales.

 

Program (Hamill)

Will plan a Feb. 2 program meeting. Debbie Miranda will present her research. We will also vote on Inductees at that time and elect new officers.

Induction and awards ceremony – Terri Hammil will ask Mary Ellen Sumrall to speak at Induction.
