Through a generous grant from the Robert M. Hearin Foundation, MUW has established the Hearin Leadership Program. The four-year program mixes coursework with community service, organizational involvement, self-development, and leadership events. It allows Hearin Leadership Scholars to develop selfknowledge, self-discipline, initiative, commitment, and teamwork through educational and practical experience. The leadership qualities and skills gained in the Hearin Leadership Program assist graduates on the path to success in their chosen fields.
The Hearin Leadership Scholarships, in the amount of $10,000 for four years, are based primarily upon demonstrated school and/or community leadership. Other leadership scholarships of varying amounts will also be awarded through the interview process. Awards are renewable depending upon a recipient’s participation in the MUW Hearin Leadership Program.
