September 20 was the last day to apply for December 2013 Degree and to apply to walk in December Commencement.
Thursday, December 12
3:00 p.m. -COMMENCEMENT PRACTICE report to Whitfield Hall to line up. Tickets and caps & gowns will be distributed at practice.
Note: Commencement practice is REQUIRED of all commencement participants. If you have a conflict, please notify the Registrar so your name will not be removed from the Line of March.

2:00 p.m. - Conferring of degrees for graduates and candidates by College (click here to see the list of participants)
IMMEDIATELY AFTER GRADUATION CEREMONY, RETURN CAPS AND GOWNS TO CARRIER CHAPEL. PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE TO TAKE YOUR PICTURE.
Caps and gowns will be issued on Thursday, December 12, at Commencement Practice in Rent Auditorium, Whitfield Hall. Honor cords, for those first bachelor degree students whose current cumulative and MUW grade point averages are 3.50 and above, will be distributed at Commencement practice. Latin honors based on current GPAs will be read. However, honors printed on diplomas and transcripts will be based on final GPAs. Caps and gowns must be returned to Carrier Chapel immediately following the ceremony.
Diplomas for December 2013 candidates will be available for pick-up beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18. 2:00 p.m. - Conferring of degrees for graduates of all colleges. Students not in line by 1:30 p.m. will be removed from the list.
Family and friends (including children) attending commencement will need an admission ticket.
Guests should enter through the front entrance of Whitfield Hall. Five tickets will be distributed to each student participating in commencement at commencement practice on Thursday, December 12. Tickets will not be mailed. There are no reserved seats and no extra tickets.
Doors will open at 1:00 p.m. for the ceremony. Tickets will only be honored until 15 minutes prior to the ceremony. At that time, the doors will be opened for all until seats are filled. Anyone arriving with a ticket after the honorable time is not guaranteed a seat.
A professional photographer will be on-site for taking pictures. We request that family members and friends refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony, especially with flash or at the front.

The deadline for submission of transfer work to the Office of the Registrar is Wednesday, December 18. Please notify faculty involved from other campuses of this deadline and request their assistance. If an official transcript will not be available by this date, please arrange for the institution’s Registrar to notify the MUW Registrar of the final grade(s) prior to the deadline. Please note that transfer credit will be added to your MUW record and your degree will be posted only upon receipt of an official transcript. You may not graduate if transfer grades are not received by the deadline. Transfer work received after the deadline will result in the student having to reapply.
The deadline for candidates to clear University accounts is 5:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12. Offices included are University Accounting (Comptroller), Housing, Health Center, Library, Registrar, Student Affairs and Campus Police. Diplomas and/or transcripts will not be issued to candidates until all accounts are cleared.
