Areas of Specialization: History of Philosophy, Ethical Theory, Applied and Professional Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy Research Interests: Constitutional law and medical ethics, nursing ethics, the health care professional-patient relationship, ethical and legal issues surrounding palliative care, and business ethics Selected Publications: Dr. Hilliard had co-edited or authored three books. His most recent book is The U.S. Supreme Court and Medical Ethics: From Contraception to Managed Health Care (Paragon House, 2004). He has also published a number of articles in peer reviewed journals in the fields of medical ethics, law and medical ethics, nursing, business ethics, and political science.
