LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Dates for summer terms: First Term- June 3-28 Second Term - July 8 - August 3
The Life Enrichment Program offers intellectually stimulating non-credit courses for adults in the greater Columbus area who share a love of learning and/or teaching. Courses cover a wide range of subjects and are designed to meet the physical, intellectual, and social needs of the participants.
Courses in the Life Enrichment Program are taught by volunteers from the community who are experts in their field. The fee for each term is $35.00, which entitles participants to take up to five courses each term. The Board of Directors and volunteer faculty are exempt from paying the $35.00 fee.
Classes are held during the day, early evening, and Saturday mornings, and meet once a week for 1 to 2 hours over a six week period. Class sizes are limited by the space available. When a course includes field trips to museums and cultural events in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Memphis, to local industries, or to other places of interest there may be an extra charge to cover the cost of the event and the cost of travel by bus or van.
