Departments
The College of Arts and Sciences offers thirty-two majors and emphasis areas through its seven academic departments: Art and Design; Communication; History, Political Science, and Geography; Languages, Literature, and Philosophy; Music; Sciences and Mathematics; and Theatre. The College cooperates with Mississippi State University and Auburn University to offer dual-degree programs in engineering. In all its programs, the College emphasizes successful student learning through quality classroom instruction, practical learning experiences, and academic and cultural enrichment opportunities.
