About MUW Art & Design Department
Welcome to the MUW Art and Design! We aren't your typical art department. We are instead is a small, dynamic department with a family atmosphere. Our students are trained in small classes by professional artists, who are passionate about teaching and are eager to share their expertise both in and out of the studio. Beyond the classroom, our students are exposed to exciting contemporary art exhibitions in our spacious Eugenia Summer Gallery. Our student organizations help to mold our students by providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills and community service.
Our programs are nationally accredited through the National Association of Schools and Design (NASAD), which insures the highest quality education for our students. Our BFA in Art Education is also approved by the Mississippi State Department of Education and accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
