Dr. Rita Hinton is retiring after 20 years with the University.
"I want to express publicly my thanks to Rita for her many years of service to MUW," says Dr. Thomas C. Richardson, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. "She has been an outstanding faculty member and excellent administrator. It has been a pleasure to work with her, and I am very pleased that she has been awarded emeritus rank on her retirement. Moreover, we are all indebted to her."
Dr. Hinton was a Professor of Philosophy at The W. She served as the chair of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy.
Congratulations to Rita on her retirement, and many thanks to her for all that she has done for the students, faculty, and staff at MUW.
Dr. Bridget Smith Pieschel will be the new chair of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy.
